The signature opens the door.
Attach to the document what the person should receive after signing. DocTrace releases it the moment the signing is completed and records when it was retrieved.
What you can release
File
PDF, ZIP, DOCX or images, up to 25 MB per file and up to 10 releases per document. The file's checksum appears in the proof.
Link
A web address, for example to a data room. Visible only after signing, protected only as far as the destination behind it is.
Text
Instructions or a note, with a title, shown directly on the completion page.
Personal per recipient
Credentials or a personal file, entered per person when sending. Shown masked, only once if you wish, then deleted automatically.
How it works
Attach to the document
In the field editor under "Release after signing": file, link or text, plus the period in days and whether it can be retrieved only once.
Before signing
The person sees only: "After signing you will receive: …" with the titles. Nothing can be retrieved yet.
On completion
The completion page shows "Released documents" with view, download and open link. The e-mail with the final version states what has been released and until when.
Afterwards
Once expired or used up, the release is gone: key deleted, file unreadable. In DocTrace you can see when it was viewed or downloaded, and you can extend the period.
Security
Every file is encrypted with its own random key before it is stored (AES-256-GCM). The key is kept encrypted in the database.
On expiry, use-up or deletion, the key is deleted. The file in immutable storage is then permanently unreadable.
Retrieval only via the personal signer link, only after completion, only within the period, with a limit on the number of retrievals.
Personal texts never appear in the audit log, never in the server log and never in an e-mail.
The proof page and the audit log document the type, title, checksum and period of every release, as well as every retrieval.
